A perfect addition to your Riedel collection, these Riedel Vinum Extreme Pinot Noir glasses are designed specifically for full-bodied red wines with high acidity and moderate tannin, such as Pinot Noir, Barbaresco, Barolo, Beaujolais, Red Burgundy, and Nebbiolo.The Extreme line, most known for their larger, more dramatic diamond shaped bowls, provide an even larger surface area, exposing the wine to more oxygen and allowing it to fully open up, resulting in heightened performance, and further enhanced drinking experience for those using them. The Riedel Vinum Extreme collection was designed in response to the continued improvement in the quality of wines being produced today. As wines have become more dense, concentrated and perfected, so has the call for new glass shapes. The Extreme line is machine-made of 24% lead crystal.

Renowned European glassmaker Riedel designs the shape of each glass to most fully enhance the appreciation of the wine within. To meet the demand of today's increasingly more concentrated wines, Riedel developed the Vinum Extreme line, which features a pronounced diamond shaped bowl. The widest of the line's red wine glasses, each standing 9-1/2 inches tall and holding a whopping 29-5/8 ounces at full capacity, the two Vinum Extreme glasses in this set are designed especially to give Pinot Noir and Red Burgundy the broad breathing surface they require. At the same time, the modern diamond shape looks distinctly snazzier than typical wine stems.

Though Vinum Extreme glasses are machine-made to be affordable, the glasses consist of 24 percent lead crystal for exceptional clarity and brilliance. The set of two European-made glasses makes a handsome wedding gift or augments an existing collection.
