A lovely everyday set to stock the dining room buffet or den bar, Riedel's FLOW stemware collection combines the renowned Bavarian glassmaker's standards of excellence with a highly approachable "country house" style. As with all of Riedel's creations, the bowl of each glass is carefully crafted in shape, volume, and finish--from the cut, polished rim to thin, colorless walls--to best present the distinct personalities of specific varietals. The stems, with their chunkier proportions and simple bead accents at top and bottom, add an easy grace that seem to call for a hearty Vin de Table but also carry that special small-production Napa Valley discovery beautifully. Machine-made of fine lead-free crystal, these two Syrah glasses feature a tall bowl with a narrow rim to perfectly develop and deliver the silky texture and fruity aromas of well-structured red wines including Syrah, Shiraz, Hermitage, Barbera, and Malbec. Well-balanced, sturdy, and generously sized, they measure 10 inches high and hold 23-5/8 ounces each. Dishwasher-safe but hand washing is recommended. --Kara Karll
